Overview
Antwerp merged with Zeebrugge in 2022 to form Antwerp-Bruges, the second busiest port in Europe with about 12 million TEU. The Scheldt port is the petrochemical and breakbulk champion of Europe, guarded by the Berendrecht lock, once the largest on Earth.
