Overview
The Arctic iron ore port of Norway, ice free all year thanks to a branch of the Gulf Stream. Ore trains have rolled down the Ofoten line from Kiruna in Sweden since 1902. In 1940 Narvik saw the first big naval battles of the war in Norway.
